Crumbs for 8th May 2005

The Mid-week meeting continues on Thursday evening at 7.30, looking at addressing some of the issues raised at the Church, Community and Change launch. Everyone is welcome - if you need a lift please speak to the minister or any of the elders.

A reminder that on the last Saturday of the month we will need some volunteer labour to remove part of the damaged wall at the manse and replace it with a wooden fence.

The voting list is up on display and the compliance procedure will be read out from the code during the service. Please consider your decisions prayerfully.

Monday 1st to Friday 5th August
Landlubbers are pirates searching for hidden treasure on a desert island. They discover the greatest treasure of all: knowing Jesus. Landlubbers introduces children to Jesus and invites them to become his followers.

During the summer we will have a team of 12 to 15 American visitors staying with us. They will be doing a street clean-up in the local area, some practical work in the church, leading a Fun Day and halping with our week of Outreach to the children and young people of the area.

The Outreach week will run as it usually does, with the team gathering for prayer and bible study, lunch, the afternoon session for 5-10 year olds, dinner, then the evening session for 10-14 year olds. If you usually help in any way this is even more necessary. Please let Barbara or Jack know if you are willing to help with the Outreach or with helping cook food for the team.
